Tuesday 19th was our first official day of our first cohort under the Billion Journey Project. 10 exciting scale-ups joined the program and the sessions throughout the day focused on ‘laying the tracks’ for the program. These included a welcome presentation by Ian McLaren (CFO of Govia Thameslink Railway) followed by five minute quick fire pitches from the companies and concluded with a speed dating session for all involved to meet experts from across the Go-Ahead group.
The Go-Ahead experts cover disciplines from tech stack & engineering through to marketing and retail. The first day was a great success and has set the standard for what will be a very exciting programme. The ambition of the project remains clear, we have an opportunity to genuinely improve passenger experience for a Billion Journeys across rail and bus.
